Lemon Dream by Salopian is a great example of our love for cask ales. We first drank Lemon Dream at one of our local pub called the Scotch Piper Inn (history of the pub can be found here) on a gloriously sunny day. This instantly became one of your favourite drinks and speaking to the bar man Trevor, it sells out within hours of going on especially at a weekend when the sun is out.
Lemon Dream is a fantastic golden ale which is brewed with fresh organic lemons that gives a wonderful light citrus taste to the beer. This is no craft beer so do not expect a big tart punch of lemon. But what you do get is a refreshing and subtle hint of lemon which comes through is the nose and in the finish of each sip. Great fresh from the pump and also available from the bottle. Bottles can be bought direct from the brewery but we get our supply from Crosby Bottle Beer Shop (Facebook and Twitter) were 4 large bottles are a bargain a £10.
