Huck is without doubt the benchmark of DIPAs. A simple Google search will show that Huck scores highly on both www.ratemybeer.com and www.beerhawk.co.uk. There is a good reason for this. Huck packs a super punch of warm alcohol, hoppy goodness and a malty caramel backbone. Packing a punchy 7.4% ABV this is no session ale. High on flavour this hop bomb of a double IPA is amazingly well balanced yet punchy and warm.
A great combination of hops (Mosaic, Simcoe and Amarillo) come together perfectly to pack this DIPA with flavours of citrus and tropical fruits. A nice caramel and malt backbone allow the hops to sing and gives a great mouth feel. As with all Thornbridge Brewery brews Huck is refined and superbly well balanced and full of robust flavours. Sweet moreish fruit and warm alcohol work together to bring the hoppy pleasure that only a DIPA of such quality can bring.
