We love Beavertown. To us they are one of the shining lights in the UK craft beer scene. The funky can designs, great core range and most importantly consistently cracking beers. We were very excited when we first got our hands on some cans of Lupuloid. Beavertown started the journey of creating there first straight forward IPA which took them 4 years of research. Collaborations with other breweries helped with this journey along with limited releases and feedback gathering. Beavertown listened and perfected and finally released Lupuloid onto the world which happily in now part of there amazing core range.
Now the first thing. Lupuloid comes in at a whopping 6.7% ABV. No session strength or taste with this brew. Secondly you get a hop bomb of an IPA packed with tropical fruit flavours, great malt backbone and a dry bitter finish. Everything you want from an top draw IPA. Thirdly and finally Lupuloid is an IPA that can battle it out with the wonderful IPA's of our craft beer cousins in America.
Beavertown have invested heavily in this beer. Time, experimentation, tweaking, more time, more experimentation and more tweaking. The result is one of the best (if not the best) IPA to come out of the UK in recent years. Maybe the best in the world! This might sound over the top but grab a can and taste for yourself. We are sure you will agree that this is a stonker of an IPA packed with all the flavours you would want with a big punch of warm alcohol. Long live Beavertown. Long live hops!
