I first discovered Wylam Brewery while at the Liverpool Craft Beer Expo in 2017. The festival is defiantly a must for the craft beer calendar for anyone in the area at the time or even to travel to. The day itself is a bit of a blur towards the end but one thing that sticks in our memories (especial me and my good friend Ziggy) is the beers we drank from Wylam. Blow Out IPA was one of such beers and remains a firm favourite.
Pack full of fantastic flavours including a rainbow of tropical fruits (pineapple, guava, mango and papaya), a great malty backbone, warm punch from the generous 7.0% ABV (almost double IPA territory) and a great bitter aftertaste.
If you have not tried this IPA do yourself a massive favour and try it out. Probably one of the best IPAs I have had in a long time. In fact try some of Wylams other brews as they are producing some fantastic beer.
